TGS Waitemata Regatta Lake Pupuke 21 Oct 2017

The second regatta of the season, TGS, was held in very windy conditions, white caps on the water and the winds gathering velocity eventually resulted in the day being called off at about 2pm. At Lake Pupuke we shared the water with bird life sheltering near the shore.

The day started with the Boys U18 eight crews being sent out to row to the starting line, first. Our rowers started off wearing their thermals. Very sensible for the conditions.

Our novice boys eight did fabulously well coming in for a finish too close to call, according to the race compere. The final result was a close second.
